J.J. Sedelmaier Productions assisted Karl Kirchner (owner of one of the original Black Beauty automobiles used in the 1966 TV show, “The Green Hornet”) with his recent efforts to restore the fabled automobile. The customized 1966 Chrysler Crown Imperial was one of two models built for the program by famed car designer Dean Jeffries. Kirchner's Black Beauty is known as the number 2 model. JJSP designed and created interior elements such as name plates, the steering wheel hub, and electronic device labeling. J.J. also worked with Karl to help re-create various gadgets used by Van Williams and Bruce Lee in the famous TV show.

By the 1970’s BB#2 had undergone an extensive
remuddling and had lost its clean, streamlined appearance.
JJSP used the car’s original glovebox nameplate as inspiration for a specialized ID tag.
The redesigned nameplate installed in the restored interior.
JJSP recreated the license plates used on the original car. The top design was used while the car toured, the bottom V194 was one of 3 designs utilized on the car’s unique revolving rear license plate cavity.
Kirchner asked JJSP to recreate Dean Jeffries’ name crest to be installed under the engine hood.
