J.J. Sedelmaier Productions has always garnered attention for the
innovative work it does.

High profile productions (Beavis, SNL, Letterman, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, etc.), seemingly modest pieces (Episcopal Church), and everything in-between (Quilted Northern Quilters, Volkswagen, FootJoy, etc.) generate interest and interviews. The studio has been the focus of television profiles on "The Today Show" twice, "Good Morning America", CNN, CBS' "Sunday Morning", PBS, and MSNBC. NBC has done a "Making of Saturday TV Funhouse" feature in the studio for the Best of Saturday TV Funhouse DVD, both the Chicago Tribune, USA Networks, and the AdCouncil have done shoots for their websites using JJSP material, and Three Canadian TV crews have conducted interviews inside the White Plains facility. J.J. Sedelmaier has also been interviewed by NPR's Terry Gross on her "Fresh Air" radio program.

The New York Times, The NY Daily News, NY Post, Chicago Tribune, and countless regional newspapers have chosen to publish stories on JJSP. Print, AIGA, Entertainment Weekly, People, How Magazine, Hogan's Alley, Comic Book Artist, Animation Magazine, and others, have written articles about the studio and its work. J. J. Sedelmaier travels extensively to different professional seminars and conferences to share his knowledge, and to participate in industry gatherings. He is a popular speaker and teacher – recent appearances include being interviewed by Kurt Anderson for the Minneapolis AIGA conference, a presentation at the How Design Conference, keynote presentation at the Technology, Media & Design Conference, in Madison, Wisconsin; and Society of Publication Designers seminars (he has assisted in organizing and participated in discussion panels for three years running). He regularly guest lectures as an adjunct at a variety of schools, such as: NYU, RISD, Pratt, Parsons, New York’s School of Visual Arts (both the undergraduate and MFA departments), University of Wisconsin, UCLA, University of Virginia, Savannah College of Art & Design, Detroit's College for Creative Studies, and Maryland Institute College of Art.

Presentations on the studio and the art of animation have been provided at many advertising agencies/clients throughout the country. Companies that have made studio visits to the White Plains facility include DDB/NY, FCB/SF, Goodby Silverstein, Georgia-Pacific, Kraft Foods, MTV, VH-1, McCann, Crispin Porter+Bogusky, Euro/RSCG, NBC, CBS, and Cartoon Network. Sedelmaier has also done presentations and written articles about graphic design and comics. His articles on Chicago area transit posters have appeared in Print Magazine, and AdsInternational (UK), and he has organized and moderated related panels at the NYComicCon and Chicago's C2E2.

The renown Society Of Illustrators invited Sedelmaier to develop a presentation (with Joe Strike moderating) on the translation of print art into film. Key projects definitively demonstrating JJSP's talents were screened, and select original works of reference art done by illustrators/designers/cartoonists were displayed to help explain the various techniques employed in the process. He collaborates frequently with the Society as well as its newly acquired acquisition, MoCCA/Museum of Comic & Cartoon Art.
