Punchy : Hawaiian Punch

The studio works with existing animation characters or designs, bringing our cutting-edge modern/sometimes retro design sense to expand and enhance previous conceptualizations. Some of the famous icons that the studio has worked with are Mr. Peanut, Hawaiian Punch's "Punchy", Garry Trudeau's "Mr. Butts", "Speed Racer" and many others.

Al Hirschfeld : NBC

JJSP is expert at developing a specific technique to allow a never-before-animated print style to come to life for use as an advertising branding tool. The studio has collaborated with many outstanding print artists, such as Al Hirschfeld, Peter deSeve, Gary Baseman, David Levine, Douglas Fraser, etc.

Chicago Tribune

Sometimes a project's design needs the nimble flexibility of experienced artists' attention. As a result, JJSP has found itself as the designer of more and more projects.

The design of SNL cartoons developed this way, as have campaigns for PacBell, Oxygen, FootJoy, and Converse, to name a few. But this approach is probably best demonstrated in the studio's instrumental strategic design involvement in the Chicago Tribune's "What's In It For You" branding campaign. Personally designed by J.J. Sedelmaier, this highly successful advertising event encompasses design work used in print, outdoor, web, transit, TV, and even theatrical usage. JJSP was involved from the DDB/Chicago business pitch onward through production.
