J.J. Sedelmaier was asked by EnergyBBDO to act as Co-Creative Director with Noel Haan on the resurrection of the legendary "Speedy" Alka-Seltzer character for their client Bayer. J.J. helped develop concepts (the "Weathergirl" & "Karate" spots were his) while also acting as Head Character Designer and Speedy's Director. Working with the stellar Framestore/NY crew and animators Jennie Bichsel and Shayne Ryan, Sedelmaier was directly responsible for shepherding the classic advertising icon through every aspect of the production. The popular weekend staple, CBS "Sunday Morning" responded to a suggestion from JJSP to develop a segment on "Classic Advertising Icons" and broadcast a piece focusing on the re-introduction of "Speedy" - Martha Teichner was the correspondent with Ed Forgetson Producing. J.J. has also acted as consultant, creative director, art director on various projects for Amazon, Starz, Disney, Nickelodeon. and Cracker Jack.
